The Nyngan Minis Bull Ants had an enjoyable day but were unsuccessful in all three games - although they did give their best and the team as a whole has come a long way since the beginning of the season.
Kyle Hall and Ryan Collins did a wonderful job in the goal and Cale Dunn, Ryan Hibbins, Paige Cobcroft, Jade Wye, Hamish Carter and Melanie Bodycott went hard all day. Will Boag put his body on the line to save a good few goals.
All the Bull Ants played well and this week the Encouragement Award went to Ryan Collins and The Player of the Day went to Abbey Carter.
The Mids team one, cached by Stuart Rufus, battled against three other teams. The first game saw a gallant team go down in a close game by four goals against Tottenham. But play by Tom Harris and Clare Carter kept the score close.
You could see there was something special building in game two versus the old rival Gilgandra who was packed with stars. Rachel Hibbins and Hamish Wye were outstanding with shots at goal that nearly shattered the posts. Eventual score - Nyngan went down in a tight game 2-0.
Game three started well for team one with an early goal from the kick-off. With a huge amount of possession and great attacking ability from Bill Gillespie, Stanley Lord and Bodhi Cobcroft who was voted Player of the Day, team one dominated Warren 4-0.
A fantastic day was had by all in the camp. There was great support for the team which kept the games close and entertaining. Team one is starting to find some confidence with superb passing and skills that enable shots on goal. Special mentions to Jordan Rufus, Ellie Smith, Shelby Dunn and Zoe Angrove.
