Sheepdogs to be put to test during trial event

10/07/2008 11:36:00 AM
The Hypro (Australia) Sheepdog Trials will be held at the Nyngan Showground July 31 to August 3.

With the advent of Cobar restarting their trials, with Nyngan immediately following, a record number of entries are expected with competitors coming from Victoria, Queensland and a wide area of New South Wales.

Mr Damien Wilson from Glen Innis will be judging the Encourage/Novice and Bill Davidson from Tamworth the Improver/Open.

When the trial recommenced in 1990 it only ran for two days, such is its increasing popularity we have now extended to four days.

A special thank you to the Nyngan RSL Club, Nyngan Toyota and Carter Lindsay and Weber for their sponsorship of the Encourage, Novice and Improver trials.

An added attraction is the Ag Expo which is run in conjunction with the trials on Saturday August 2.
