Phillip Dutton is now in England with the rest of the American Olympic team preparing for the Olympics which will open at Beijing on August 8.
Prior to this date his two daughters, Olivia and Mary, will be brought out to Australia to spend time with uncles, aunt and grandparents while their father competes in the Olympic Three Day Event.
After this Phillip, Evie and elder daughter Lee-Lee will fly to Australia, arriving in Sydney on August 15 and heading for Hermidale. On Saturday August 16 at noon he will open the rest area named in his honour. After this visitors will proceed to the beer garden of the Hermidale Hotel where a barbeque lunch will be served.
The rest area has been the goal of the Hermidale gymkhana organisation and brainchild of Rodney Robb, Roy Cooney and Nano Moody, and much work and thought has gone into it. Flyers have gone out to advertise this function and the Hermidale Gymkhana committee would like all interested to come along to make this a wonderful day.
For catering purposes would you please reply to secretary Narelle Spears, 6833 0799, or Mary Dutton, 6833 0635.
