At an extraordinary meeting of council held last Thursday Councillor Ray Donald was re-elected mayor for the twelfth term and Cr Jim Hampstead OAM was re-elected deputy mayor for the fifth term.
The new council decided to continue to meet on the fourth Thursday of each month at 9.30am with a special meeting called for Friday October 10 at 2pm to deal with items of business needing attention before the next monthly meeting on October 23.
New councillors Jodi Douglas, Angela Kennedy, Glen Neill and Kevin Ryan were welcomed at the meeting.
They join the re-elected councillors who are Hazel Griffiths, Elaine McLaughlin, Ray Donald, Danny Dutton and Jim Hampstead OAM, and look forward to the next four years being able to represent ratepayers of Bogan Shire in an effective and efficient way.
