David Butler of the ICPA said, “We are really excited that Brigid McLaughlin will be bringing her 2008/09 spring and summer fashions to the Nyngan Ag Expo.

“Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the parade last year, and many of our ladies cannot wait to see what she has in store for us this year.

“Brigid was raised on the merino stud ‘Merryanbone North’ located between Nyngan and Warren. Her family has great faith in the future of wool.

“Brigid has always been inspired by a mix of new, old and unexpected textures.

“Her passion for natural products is reflected in her use of these types of fabrics and the exquisite prints are designed for and exclusive to her brand. These elements are just a part of Brigid’s philosophy to create unique, ageless and artistic clothes to be lived in and loved by our ladies.

“Brigid has worked with many well-known fashion labels including Charlie Brown, Lili and Issey Miyake. Her previous roles in the fashion industry include as head of design for David Lawrence and also for Lisa Ho.”

Kim Stokes, co-coordinator of the food and wine extravaganza announced, “This will be our second year celebrating food and wine at the Country Energy Nyngan Ag Expo. As our major sponsor for this event, Matt and Tanya of The Windmill Tavern will showcase an extensive range of Australian and international beers in addition to domestic wines, to give visitors the perfect opportunity to sample beverages and finger foods which they otherwise may not have the chance to try.

“All of the products which will be displayed are always stocked at the Windmill Tavern’s Cellarbrations bottle shop.

“Royden, who is well known and loved across the district and renowned for his award-winning rock and country music, will serenade us again this year in the food and wine arena.
